About the City
Gonesse is a commune in the northeastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 16.5 km from the centre of Paris, immediately north of Le Bourget Airport and southwest of Charles de Gaulle International Airport. It is part of the Val-d’Oise department and the Ile-de-France region.
16 km north-northeast of Paris, Gonesse lies on both sides of the valley Croult, at the gates of the Plaine de France. Its territory slightly undulated, stretches at an average altitude of 60 metres, on 2009 hectares. At its largest, it measures 7 km in the direction north-west/south-east and nearly 5 kilometers in the direction north-east/south-west. Its inhabitants are called Gonessians.
