There are many things you can discover in Gonesse, especially if you are curious by nature or you happen to be a history buff. But even if you aren’t it will interest you not only for the things that can be discovered, but for the beauty it has to offer.
The
Mostly built in the 13th century, it presents a great architectural unity, representative of the Gothic art of Ile de France. It retains however Romanesque elements in the elevation of the first levels of the tower. It houses a magnificent organ decorated with a series of 16th century musician angels painted on its arch.
The Dieu hotel
A series of Gothic arches and some vestiges of the old church des Jacobins are the last witnesses to the first hospital in Gonesse founded in 1208 by Pierre de Theilley.

The archive
Many documents, even the oldest dating back to the 16th century, can be freely and openly consulted at the archives and heritage service. These are kept to illustrate the past of the city and consist of nearly 40 000 handwritten or printed documents and registers, plans, posters and reproductions of old photographs.
